If you are looking for a place to enjoy the peace and quiet of country living you are welcome to visit Wild Canary Farm. This organic 100-acre property features a rich seam between farm and forest. On a misty morning you can identify some 25 species of birds without leaving your porch. The hedgerows are alive, as are the pond, field and forest. Day and night this sanctuary is alive with wild and free creatures like giant jacks, wild turkeys, white tail deer, ducks, geese, green Herons, and other furry critters. There are walking trails, secluded places, natural singing sounds and, finally on the back ninety, a view of a lifetime, to contemplate the dream of heaven here on earth.

After you have explored the property you may want to get in a game of golf. There are 3 courses within 15 minutes. If you would like to go for a swim or enjoy a paddleboat ride, Oak Hill Lake is just a walk or bike ride along a friendly country road. Finally, the village of Stirling is just five-minute drive down the hill. There, you can dine, shop, or take in live entertainment at the Stirling Festival Theatre.                                                                                                            

Wild Canary Farm is located 15 minutes north of Belleville, Ontario, in the Oak Hills. (Approximately 2 hours from downtown Toronto) There are two flats available in the old, but renovated farmhouse.

The Main Floor Flat

This flat features an open concept kitchen/living area. Adjoining this central room are two other rooms. A glassed sunroom faces southeast and is perfectly situated for indoor gazing. The fire room faces north and can be used for writing and studying while being warmed by a cozy fire. The queen couch in the living room converts into a comfortable bed, in full view of the fireplace, and T.V. movie viewing if so desired. There is a four-piece bathroom off the kitchen.  Around the exterior of this flat is a lovely covered porch for sitting, watching and enjoying sanctuary.

The Upstairs Flat

The upper flat is the same floor space but quite different. Facing north, with a high view of the rolling fields is a 3/4 bedroom with armoire and study desk. There is the same sunroom as below, but with a much higher view for spying deer and eagles. It has a double bed, armoire and writing desk. Off of the southeast living room/kitchen area, with TV for movie viewing and a comfy couch, is a south balcony to sip your morning coffee and/or read. And then there's the bathroom... The claw tub overlooks the hills through a large picture window. Star gazing anyone?

Each Flat rents for $1300/month, $500.00/ week or $100.00/day
